The Ardèche , a magnificent river …
without great difficulties, is a family friendly river. Everyone who is able to swim and over the age of 7 can experience this adventure of pure joy.
The mini-descent :
Start : Vallon-Pont-d’Arc / Finish : Châmes : watercourse 7 km. Start at any time of day.
This descent is ideal as an introduction or a chance to row through the Pont d’Arc, approximately 11/2 hours of navigation. You can keep your boat for several hours longer to make the most of the beach stop-offs, to have a picnic, to swim…
You can do the 24 and 32 km descents over two days. You would spend the night under canvas, bivouac Gaud or Gournier where there are toilet & shower facilities and barbecues.

Start : Châmes just after the Pont d’Arc between 8.30 a.m. & 9.30 a.m., we will take you to the departure point in our minibus and then off you go to spend the day in the Nature Reserve of the Ardèche Gorge.
This run takes, on average, 5 hours, not allowing for any stops.
The 32 km descent : 1 Day
Plan to set off between 8 & 9.30 in the morning from our base, the pick-up is at 5 p.m. at Sauze where we will bring you back to Vallon. This run takes, on average, 7 hours, not allowing for any stops.
This run is not difficult but is nevertheless quite tiring when the water level is low.
